Skill Development Program
At Lakhimi, we are dedicated to driving social and economic transformation by forming and promoting the Self-Help Group (SHG) business model among women in our communities. By bringing together groups of 5 to 11 women built on equal participation and collective leadership, we empower individuals—particularly from weaker sections of society—to enhance their skills, build financial independence, and lead community growth.
Through structured training, direct access to loans, and continuous mentorship, Lakhimi provides the foundation these groups need to build sustainable futures.
Our Operational Framework
-
Regular Engagement & Common Goals: Our groups gather on a routine basis to discuss financial targets, savings strategies, and operational challenges. Each group defines a clear, shared objective for a set period, working collaboratively toward achieving it.
-
Monitoring & Accountability: Lakhimi supervisors regularly audit, mentor, and monitor group activities to ensure transparency, steady growth, and healthy financial management.
-
Continuous Growth: Groups consecutively set higher goals, building their business competencies while progressively increasing their household incomes.
Skill Development & Entrepreneurship at Lakhimi
-
Vocational & Banking Training: We connect members with comprehensive skill development programs covering vocational training, financial literacy, and banking operations, making it seamless for them to navigate formal financial channels and run thriving enterprises.
-
Micro-Enterprise Creation: By pooling collective resources, members launch sustainable small businesses in fields such as tailoring, handicrafts, agri-business, and food processing.
-
Business Expansion & Job Creation: As these micro-enterprises mature, successful entrepreneurs expand their operations, generating local employment opportunities and boosting the broader community economy.
-
Soft Skills & Internship Programs: To foster well-rounded professional growth, Lakhimi offers specialized internship programs for educators and young professionals. Candidates receive intensive soft skills training, preparing them for corporate careers or empowering them to venture into self-employment with confidence.
The Self-Help Group model demonstrates the extraordinary power of collective action. At Lakhimi, our focus on savings, credit, entrepreneurship, and soft skills development remains central to building resilient, self-reliant, and economically empowered communities across India.
